This project aims to plant seedlings and sprouts at our community garden in TJP to create a sustainable food source. We also aim to set up a compost bin for the community.
IHC has started a Community Health Worker Program in San Juanico, B.C.S. and is continually working to improve the town's access to healthcare.
The stove project developed from a perceived need of healthier cooking practices in low-income communities of Tijuana Progreso and Girasoles and the innovative minds of our engineering team.
To provide underrepresented high school students at Mar Vista High School with hands-on engineering experiences, and motivating students to pursue higher education, especially in a STEM field.
IHC is working on obtaining an ultrasound through grants and then working with physicians and ultrasound technicians to train community health workers.
IHC members reclaim food that will otherwise be thrown away and redirecting it to local pantries and non-profit organizations based in San Diego.
We are developing an English language class for the children of Tijuana Progreso, requested by the community members of TJP. This class would be offered during clinic outside of the community center.
